Lewis’ journal that he kept immediately after the death of his wife. Wow, [...] This morning was the worst day for me yet. Maybe it seem apropos that one day this week was the best I’ve had and this day was the worst. Or maybe they came from two different but equally important realizations. I dropped Julia at school again this morning which provides a perfect early morning opportunity to [...] This is a card and letter Anita wrote me as she was leaving Lincoln, then mailed from Omaha and I received it several days later when she was already in New York. The envelope was postmarked June 1, 1993. The card read: Will Love Last? Anita graduated college in May 1993 and then moved to Philadephia for a post-grad program. I still had two years of college before I graduated, so we knew that at that point, we’d be done. We had enjoyed our time together (5 1/2 months) but were both sad for it to end. Yesterday, I asked them to work on the dirt fill because the bad rain had washed away some of the soil.
