I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will councel you and watch over you. – Psalm 32:8
This was the verse in the whole bible that spoke to Anita the most. She told me so. I’ve said before, when she found something inspirational, she printed it out on an 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of paper in big bold type and taped it to the wall in our house. Over time, she found new inspirations and took older ones down.
This one was taped to her bathroom mirror, a very special place that only 2 or 3 things were ever taped. She never took this one down. Recently she pointed out to me that she never takes that one down. I hadn’t thought a lot about it, but she said that one never stopped speaking to her. For that, I dub it her favorite verse.
Opening her bible, I find a large purple post-it note marking the page of this Psalm. The verse itself is underlined, highlighted in yellow with brackets around the sides and two asterixes. She marked it in about as many ways as she could.
The only other verse I have found that she marked in the same way is just two lines below – verse 10 of the same Psalm.
…the Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him. (Psalm 32:10)
Her greatest comfort in this world was that God was ALWAYS watching over her. That His love would surround her if she trusted Him.

I’ve typed and erased so many times…I just am amazed at the way Anita sought the Lord and how she left you so many things to comfort you and to make sure you know that she’s ok. Incredible journey you are on, my friend. Much love-A
