I was sitting reading the Bible today. I got up to get some oatmeal, and I felt God say “go sit back down.” Perplexed, I went. And kept reading. I moved to C.S. Lewis’ Mere Christianity, and saw the passage – although our feelings come and go, God’s love for us does not. It does not get wearied by our sins or our indifference. The sweetest feeling came over me. A few minutes later I felt God say, that’s all I wanted. I just wanted to say I love you.
I love you, too, God. I’m sorry I’m not better at it.
