Surrender -
How do I surrender myself? How do I work as hard as I must but also allow Him to do His work? How do I figure out the distinction between His work and my work? When I cross the line, the work I try to do becomes exhausting, When I slack off on my own work, that which is justifiably mine, I feel lazy and worthless.
How do I keep the balance between His work and my work, and do mine joyfully?

C.S. Lewis -
deceptive - why treasure this when we can have that?Martha Beck (Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World) quotes Charles Grierson saying:
Service without spirituality is exhausting and hopeless; but in the same respect, spirituality without service is barren and selfish. We need to unite the two and do it all as unto the Lord.
When we do that, something wonderful happens to our work in the kitchen. Sinks turn into sanctuaries, mops swab holy ground, and daily chores that used to bore us or wear us down become opportunities to express our gratitude – selfless avenues for His grace.
