Don’t Stop Digging

Today I was reminded how inspired and full of God’s love I feel when I sift through old boxes of Anita’s papers. For my accountant today I dug into a box of old bill stubs, or so I thought. Half way down I realized it was another box of Anita’s to-do lists, brainstorms and inspirational writings. Was I ever glad I found those! Some of the best bits I found today:

- Another journal – This one was empty. I thought it curious and figured she bought it and never used it (unlike her) until I flipped to the very last page and she had written: “March 29, 2026 – I am a founder and CEO of a national company.” I am guessing she wrote this on March 29, 2006, giving herself 20 years to achieve her goal. Another time I will detail all of the business ideas she had, and there were many.

- A stack of note cards. The first I pulled out said: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. – John 14:27″

- The second card said:
I am afraid
I struggle
I am mentally in torment
I don’t know what to do
I don’t know if what I am doing is right.

Focus on God
Seek peace
Ask
Knock

- A piece of paper she wrote said, “Every thing is perfect as it is – it is my perception that is wrong.” Beneath she wrote “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him; who have been called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28″

- Another piece of paper quoting 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

  • As I was entering your e-mail address into our database, and it was an interesting url, so I decided to look it up. I absolutely love this site. This is such a beautiful dedication for Anita. I can see from the photos and the way that you write about her, that she was a fun, loving, and just an absolutely amazing person. Keep doing what you are doing. We support you!
P.S. This verse – “Every thing is perfect as it is – it is my perception that is wrong.” is now my screen saver!
