Delighted in the Lord – Desires of your heart
How to be delighted in the Lord? Remember, it’s all about Him, not about us
Must be willing to commit my life to Him and commit my desires to Him. Whatever doesn’t please You, Lord, please change them. Let Him look at them, let Him examine them, let Him determine whether that is really the best thing for your life.
There are things we don’t have all of the information about. The stronger my desire, the shorter the length of time I give God to answer it.
If I’m not willing to let God deal with my desires, I’ll fret waiting on the Lord to act.
Trust in Him and he’ll do it. I won’t commit anything to anyone I don’t trust. One reason I don’t commit things to Him is because I don’t trust Him.
If I fret, I have not committed it to Him and I’m not trusting. I cannot fret and commit and trust all at the same time.
“Wait” is a warning of protection – don’t jump at this point. What God causes us to wait for will be better when the time is right.
