All I can seem to write lately is 2-page epiphanies. Probably because that’s all I’m having lately. Two-page epiphanies.
“No doubt about it. God loves you.”
Pointing at the cursor. “There it is. It is waiting for you.”
“To do what?”
“To write something.”
I think I like writing epiphanies because I like learning, and the epiphany is my favorite part of learning. It’s the point at which the all of the background research, investigation, and thinking come together. It’s the point where thought and knowledge converges, where the shell of hard work finally surrenders its pearl of wisdom. And it’s beautiful. So beautiful.
Just like me to focus on the goal, the culmination, and not the process. Process is hard. Process takes work. A lot of work. And you never really know when that work is going to be complete. So you’ve just got to keep working, keep striving, forever, until you’re finally finished – whenever that is. Then it’s on to the next process.
Those who are blessed are those who truly thrive on the process – not the end result. Because it’s all process.
