Wall post late 2005: It is not true to say that God wants to teach us something in our trials. Through every could He brings our way, He wants us to unlearn something. His purpose in using the cloud is to simplify out beliefs until out relationship with Him is exactly like that of a child [...] Wall post from late 2005: Service without spirituality is exhausting and hopeless; but in the same respect, spirituality without service is barren and selfish. We need to unite the two and do it all “as unto the Lord”. When we do that, something wonderful happens to out work in the kitchen. Sinks turn into sanctuaries, mops [...] This morning I stumbled across a box of more than 60 wall posts and notes that Anita left in a folder called “Personal Bible”. In 1999, I introduced Anita to the idea of a personal bible from a book I was reading called “Secrets of the Great Minds”. This idea was to write down in [...] To be an effectively present force in my children’s lives. To live freely, provide financially, and empower others to do the same. Accept responsibility for the power within me to help other people. Focus on creating value and generating income. Sales before investment. Always be marketing. These were written on index cards and taped to Anita’s bathroom mirror circa [...] (Greg’s note: I had a bag of stuff from under Anita’s bathroom sink and I found a handful of her wall posts kind of crumpled in there. This is on the of the more involved ones that encompassed several lessons.) Daily Affirmations – 2/1/07 1. Today is all you have. Be grateful for today. (Is your mortgage [...] You must all think I’m crazy, but I just keep finding boxes with Anita’s papers in them. It’s like she never threw anything away! Tonight I was moving some boxes that I thought had photos and frames in them but a couple had papers too. Some of them were dated around 1999, the time she [...] Digging through a box in her office, I found an old wall post. The way to happiness: keep your heart from from hate, your mind from worry. Live simply, expect little, give much. Fill your life with love. Scatter sunshine. Forget self, think of others. Do as you would be done by. Try this for a [...] Anita was not really a yoga practitioner, but she liked Rodney Yee. I started doing yoga in 1999 (not so much recently) and Yee soon became my favorite yogi. For those who don’t know him, he is a slight Asian man, a former dancer, with an amazing philosophy of life. Anita had dome some yoga videos [...] Faith is about how you live your life in the meantime, how you make decisions when you don’t know what for sure is next. What you do with yourself between the last time you heard from God and the next time you hear from God is the ongoing challenge of a life of faith. From Anita’s [...] I found these two Anita wall posters in a box – they had been on our wall for a while (around 2007, I am guessing), then taken down, set on the table for about a year and finally I put them in a box “to be sorted”.
